How to choose the "right size" for your bed? We are offering the Strawberries n'Cream in two sizes: 95" x 112" and 112" x 129". In the old days, bed sizes were standardized and people liberally used the phrase "queen size" and "king size". Since a mattress may be anywhere from 8" high to 22" high, standard sizes really no longer apply. Today there is no such thing as a standard size.
Generally the 95" x 112" would be called a QUEEN and the 112" x 129" a KING.
We recommend for best fit that you measure your mattress. Measure the width of the bed. To this number add 2x the height of your mattress. The resulting number tells you how wide you need the quilt to be to reach from the top of your box springs, across the mattress and down the other side. Generally this is the minimum size width that would fit your bed.
For length, measure the length of your bed. Add 10" for the drop at the bottom and at least 10" for the top (to cover the pillow).
Remember, with some quilts you can turn the quilt and run the longer dimension, across the bed, too, if that helps you achieve the fit you need.
